Thiß valuable block, an early selection by the late Mr Tolmie, who, at the time, had any quantity of the best lands in the Province to choose from, is situate in the Wairuna District, within 1\ mile of the Southern Trunk Railway, and about 5 miles from Clinton. The whole is beautiful undulating country of low elevation, watered by numerous streams, and in its native state, is without exception the best grassed land in Otago. The proximity of this property to the railway, its excellent exposure, combined wiih the fact that the streams are stocked with English trout, and that pheasants and and partridges abound in the district, render it a most desirable investment for a resident proprietor ; while on the other hand, from its excellent natural boundaries, and the numerous streamlets which intersect it, it is well worthy the attention of speculators with a vi_w of cutting it up into moderate-sized farms.
