POMAHAKA ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of the Poraahaka Road Board was held on Tuesday last, at Clifton. The members present were Messrs Wilson, (ribbon, Houliston, and Jjittlejohn. The C.frairman being absent, — on the motionof Mr' Gibson, seconded by Mr Houliston, Mr Wilson was appointed Chairman pro. tern. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. . It was resolved that Messrs Gibson and Littlejohn be appointed a committee to arrange about the fencing of new roadlino through Wylie's and Main's lands, and to call for tenders if necessary ; also, to open tenders for road works in their subdivision. It was resolved to call for tenders for" work on block roadline on east side o£ Carterhope property, and also for metalling 8£ chains on road leading to Renton's. A letter was read from Mr G. Scott, Waitepeka Station, asking for letter from r the Board that the block roadlines through the Company's land has been closed, and also recommending ' the Government to issue a Crown grant for old roadline in exchange for new one. It was, resolved that the Chairman comply with the request.
