TOKOMAIRIRO FARMERS' CLUB.
A meeting of the Committee of the Tokomairiro Farmers' Club was held on Friday last. There were present Messrs James Inglis (president), Parker, Fraser, J. Duthie, J. A. Duthie, Hewitson, Hamilton, Tweedie, and Gordon. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was read from Mr J. M. Bryce tendering his resignation as a member of Commibtee. The same was accepted, and Mr G. Lindsay was elected in his stead. An account — J. C. Gordon, LlO 19s — was passed for payment. Mr J. A. Duthie moved that Messrs Hislop, Parker, and Perrier be appointed delegates to attend the meeting to be held at Oamaru re the establishment of a National Agricultural and Pastoral Association. —Carried. Mr Tweedie moved that the salary of the Secretary be Lls per annum. Seconded by Mr Hamilton, and carried. The annual subscription of members was fixed at 10s, and the President was appointed to sign cheques along with the Treasurer. The following gentlemen were appointed a Reserve Committee : — Messrs Capstick, Inglis, J. Duthie, and Gordon. The annual Walking Show was fixed for October 4, and the Stock Show for Thursday, Dec. 12. Judges for the different classes were nominated, and the Secretary waa instructed to communicate with them. On the motion of Mr Gordon, seconded j by Mr Duthie, it was agreed to take steps for having the Club incorporated under ! the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies' Incorporation Act. Mr Parker moved that the Secretary procure copies of Mr Murray's Drainage Act. \ i Seconded by Mr Gordon.
