CLUTHA DIS TERICT ROAD BOARD.

This Board met on June 17. Present : Messrs Dalgleish, M'Neil, Sar--gihson,' and the Chairman. The following propositions were car!ried :— That the Bank of New Zealand be ■requested to allow the Board .o overdraw its account to the extent of L.400 for a few months, to meet present engagements. That Ti.9's be-paid Mr W. A. Mosley, for compensation, as per agreement, on -his eignihg the deed of transfer. That the engineer's agreeement with the contractors for work on Shaw's 'track, viz,, a deduction of ten per cent. on amount of work done (L. 101 12s 7d), be ratified, and payment made forthwith.

That owing to the inordinate time takan by the contractors before beginning the work, the contract for work at Otanomomo be at once cancelled, nnd written notice to that effect given the contractors.

That the following; accounts be passed for payment :— Stewart and Doughty L.Bl ls : day-work, L.27 14s 5 Clerk and Treasurer, L.20 ; Collector, L.B. The Engineers account was not in.

That the district auditor audit all books, papers, and accounts for the year ending June 30, and to be allowed one guinea. '
