Fungi in Oats. — A singular case is reported from Armley, near Leeds, and an important one to keepers of horses. A gentleman living at that place lost three valuable horses very suddenly, and to determine the cause of death, the owner had the stomachs of the animals subjected to analysis by the Veterinary College of London. The analysis is said to have shown tbat the horses died from a disease generated by eating fungi. It is supposed- that the oats with which they had been fed were unwholesome, that, in met, the fun^i had grown among them,. .
