Inter-Dom hopes ranked

By

JEFF SCOTT

Of the 11 New Zealand entries for the Adelaide Inter-Dominion Pacing Championships, only Luxury Liner, Dillon Dean, Kylie’s Hero, Bold Sharvid, Rostriever Hanover and Reba Lord have made the top 40 on the South Australian harness Racing Board’s first ranking list. Of these, only Luxury Liner and Dillon Dean, seventh and eighth respectively, have made the top 10 on the opening list, which will be updated by the board on January 10. Kylie’s Hero (11th), Bold Sharvid (16th), Rostriever Hanover (28th) and Reba Lord (35th) are the other New Zealanders which should safely secure a start in the series. Gypsy Vance in 45th spot, will also more than likely get a run. Those needing to improve their ratings in the next month to be included in the series are Gaelic Skipper, ranked in 52nd spot among the nominations, Dual Fuel (69th), Machismo (76th) and Bub, the C 3 Timaru pacer, which is in 82nd position on the board’s ratings.

Bub, in fact, is ranked above such

useful Australian and former N.Z. pacers as Paia Royal (87th), Here Comes Duke (102nd), Tyne Valley (120th), Watbro Earl (130th) and Sur Caragh (132nd). Given automatic ranking as the top five entries for the series are the previous Inter-Dominion winners, Jodie’s Babe and Our Maestro, along with Westburn Grant, Thorate and Earth Station. All other rankings are subject to alteration. Others in the top 20 are: Village Kid, Luxury Liner, Dillon Dean, Tip Top Prince (South Australian star), Bag Limit, Kylie’s Hero, Rowleyalla, Rockleigh Victory, Double Wipe, Kyalla Fling, Bold Sharvid, Butch’s Mate, Victory’s Phil, Manageable and Palimar. Toolara Dream, Rostriever Hanover, Bronski Beat, Nikalong Shadow, Jane Ellen, Aberdeen, Rufus Young Blood, Quite Famous, Reba Lord, Digger Neptune, Screaming Eagle, Tarport Sox, It’s Motor Power and Trunkey Sting.
