SPLASHDOWN!
Riders plunge down a five-storey flume drop — the longest in the world — on “Splash Mountain,” Disneyland’s newest and fastest ride, which reaches speeds of more than 60 km/h. Based on the rollicking adventures of Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and Brer Bear — characters from the 1946 Walt Disney classic film, “Song of the South” — the attraction takes riders on a water-bourne journey through backwoods swamps and bayous and features more than 100 animated characters, a huge animated showboat and a musical finale including the film’s theme tune, “Zip-a-dee-doo-dah.”
