PA Auckland A Grey Lynn storeman allegedly stole $7OO worth of police goods while working for the force.
Andrew Fonoti-Muau-lama, aged 20, is also charged with pretending to be a member of the police, on December 23, while exhibiting a pair of handcuffs and purporting that a civilian identity card was an officer’s. The list of items FonotiMuaulama allegedly took between March 1 and December 22 include 15 police shirts, four police trousers, a police tie, a baton clip, a handcuff pouch, a set of handcuffs, a police greatcoat, a forrage cap, a police notebook and cover and a police belt. The total value was $706.43. Andrew Fonoti-Muau-lama entered no plea he appeared in the "District Court in Auckland on Tuesday. Judge Pain remanded him on bail to January 25.
