Wilson wins horse grand prix event Levin
Waitotara’s Harvey Wilson, on Windriver Mayday, won the Bayer Rintal Grand Prix event at Taumaranui in a two-horse jump-off yesterday. Wilson and Carolyn Watson, on Arrow, were the only two combinations to have clear rounds. Wilson and Windriver Mayday again went clear in the jump off while Watson incurred eight faults. However, Tony Webb (Hunterville) and Reservation, who finished fourth equal, retains overall lead in the Bayer Grand Prix. The Bayer Spectacular also saw the promotion of Warwick Hansen (Hastings) and Anchorman to the top grade with his victory in the B grade championship. Melanie Dudding (Napier) and Arrow improved their position on the Bayer Pony Grand Prix points ladder with a win in the A grade Pony event.
