Situations Vacant Situations Vacant Regional Senior Psychologist A vacancy has occurred in the Psychological Services of the Department of Justice at Dunedin. The minimum qualification is a Masters degree in psychology. Post-masterate qualifications preferred. The position offers challenging and rewarding opportunities. It requires provision of a range of psychological services to the Probation and Penal divisions of the department and community agencies. These include assessment and treatment of people convicted of offences; a consultative service to the Probation and Penal Divisions and community agencies; research; and advice to the department on policy in the area of criminal justice. The successful applicant will provide good administrative and advisory support on resource planning and other environmental issues. The project involves providing a continuity of the Ministry's responsibilities under the resource laws. It also involves participating in other reviews (local, government, national building code etc.) to maintain consistency and appropriate cross links to new resource laws. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years work experience in resource management, good written and analytical skills, also an ability to work with multi disciplinary teams is required . A tertiary qualification in planning or resource management is necessary and a post graduate qualification is desirable.
