“Happy New Year”: in enamel paint on papier mache, the jester explodes from the wall with Debra Bustin’s typical mix of the ecstatic and the ferocious.
Bustin’s work is part of the Jonathan Jensen Gallery’s Christmas exhibition, which also includes paintings by Robin Kahukiwa, Tom Kreisler (the Trustbank artist in residence) and Michael Armstrong; photographs by Di Ffrench and Megan Jenkinson; and sculpture by Neil Dawson and Bing Dawe.
