Sir Robert’s condition unchanged
PA Auckland Sir Robert Muldoon’s condition in Green Lane Hospital has not changed since he was listed on Sunday as stable but critical, say senior staff. The hospital stopped issuing bulletins at noon on Sunday , at the request of the 68-year-old
former Prime Minister, but staff say there is nothing new to report. Meanwhile, Lady Muldoon has escaped the pressure of handling calls from the public by installing an answering machine on which a male voice says, “Lady Muldoon appreciates your call, but please
leave the line free for family calls only, Please write if you have a message.”
Sir Robert is understood to be receiving antibiotic treatment for a bacterial infection in one of his heart valves.
He is in a general cardiology ward after being admitted to the hospital last Tuesday.
