Awards
NEW ZEALAND’S most important fashion event celebrates its twenty-fifth birthday next year — coinciding with the country’s own big 150th party. The Benson and Hedges Fashion Awards started out in 1964 as the Wills Gold Rose Awards, taking the Benson and Hedges name the following year, starting an event that has become the highlight of and an enduring tradition in, the fashion world. The 1990 event, on Tuesday, April 3, at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington, promises to be one of the most exciting ever. It is expected that tickets for the gala presentation evening, from which the IHC will benefit, will be at a premium.
