Putting parents on file

Aranui High School parents who speak Japanese, play indoor bowls, practise karate or go fly fishing will soon by on file as part of the school’s resources. Parents who are enrolling their child for next year’s third form
are being asked to fill in a form that lists their interests, hobbies and any other area from which contributions can be drawn.
The senior mistress, Mrs Colleen Bardsley, said the school was amazed by the response so far to its bid to involve the
community. Mrs Bardsley said some parents had registered their knowledge in a particular area. This included parents who had an illness such as epilepsy, or who ■had travelled to a particular country, and Were prepared to speak to classes
