Senior relaxes off-course
NZPA-AAP Sydney Peter Senior relaxed with his family yesterday and stayed away from the golf course. There are probably a number of his peers that wish he would do it more often. The soft-spoken Queenslander had only yesterday to savour his impressive win in the sAustsoo, ooo Australian Open on Sunday when he became only the sixth man to win the Australian Open-
PGA double in the same year. The sAust9o,ooo victory took his earnings in Australia this year to sAust24o,ooo and to sAust7oo,ooo worldwide — both figures the 30-year-old can improve on when he tees up later this week for the sAustl million Johnny Walker Classic at Royal Melbourne. Today, he will be one of 10 players competing in the pre-Classic Shootout, and he will precede that appearance with two to three hours of practice.
