Hendry downs Davis for title
NZPA-Reuter Preston, England Stephen Hendry, of Scotland, endured a determined fightback including a tournament high break of 138 by Steve Davis to beat the world number one 16-12 in the final of the United Kingdom snooker championship yesterday. The victory, which earned Hendry'£loo,ooo ($271,591) ended Davis’s string of match victories in ranking events at 22.
