Cancer files wanted
Investigators for the Medical Council have asked some women treated at National Women’s Hospital for cervical cancer to surrender their files. Dr Briant said the committee would be working as quickly as it could through the files to establish if charges should be laid aginst doctors involved in National Women’s cervical cancer treatment. A final decision on whether charges would be laid was likely within the next few weeks, Dr Briant said. — PA.
