Aims of awards

The aim of the awards at branch level is to stimulate public participation in architecture by: • Increasing public awareness of good design • Increasing public knowledge of the services offered by architects • Increasing exposure of the profession • Setting new standards in design. ■' The philosophy underpinning the awards aims to draw public attention

to a variety of work by architects at local level. The awards process provides the architectural profession with an opportunity to show the diversity of work they are capable of.
