Tickets for Games in big demand
By NEVIN TOPP More than 60 per cent of the revenue expected from ticket sales for the 1990 Auckland Commonwealth Games had already been received, said the chairman of the organising committee, Mr David Johnson, yesterday. This was in spite of only 35 per
cent of the total number of seats having been sold. The best seats were going fast. In sports such as swimming and gymnastics there were not many left, he said. Tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies were also in demand.
