Thai International flies long-range DClOs twice a week between New Zealand and Bangkok. A Thursday service provides a direct link through Christchurch, departing for Bangkok (via Auckland) at 11.55 a.m. The flight time from Auckland is about 11 hours 30 minutes. ,
South Islanders can conveniently fly non-stop to Christchurch on a flight that leaves Bangkok at 6.30 p.m. on Wednesdays. On Saturdays, a non-stop service leaves Bangkok for Auckland, returning the following day. Off-peak return fares (available only until November 19), start from $1299 (on direct service) from Christchurch to Bangkok. Special discounted rates on Thai’s domestic services are available to visitors. Travel agents have all the details.
