MMI makes profit
The unlisted Australian company, Manufacturers’ Mutual Insurance, has reported a net profit of sAust2l.23 million (SNZ27.3BM) for the year ended June, up from sAustlB.B9M previously. The group was in a strong position to grow both through acquisition and expansion of existing operations, MMI chairman, Mr Clifton Love, said. On October 5, MMI announced it had reached agreement to acquire the Mel-bourne-based Chamber of Manufacturers Insurance.
