Sir,—l believe the Government should immediately legislate to abolish the watersiders’ and harbour workers’ unions, so the workers concerned could join the labourers’ union and be paid the appropriate rate for the work they do or do not do. Every other worker and all consumers in New Zealand would benefit.— Yours, etc., T. HUGHES. October 18, 1989.
