C.T.U. party for talks
PA Wellington The Combined Trade Unions’ chief, Mr Ken Douglas, leads a seven-member union delegation into two days of scheduled talks today with the Auckland-based meat processor Affco. A member of the delegation, Mr Ken Findlay, secretary of the West Coast branch of the Freezing Workers’ Union, said the unions wanted no works to close, with chains being mothballed instead. The delegation would take its own proposals to the talks, he said.
