New Spiraflo Ultra Pasteuriser
To take fullest advantage of the Aseptic Tetra Brik packaging, CDF has tapped into the very latest in Ultra Pasteurised technology — a 5000 litre an hour, Spiraflo Ultra Pasteuriser.
Developed in Australia and manufactured by Alfa-Laval, it incorporates four different tubular heat exchangers with a wide range of sizes and configurations. These may be combined or used separately allowing a multi-purpose operation.
The spiral configurations ensure even exposure and excellent heat transfer, and the system produces Ultra Pasteurised milk with none of the taste problems associated with other UHT milk treatment technology used elsewhere in New Zealand.
