Army, Second N.Z.E.F., P.0.W.) — On September 24, 1989, at The Princess Margaret Hospital, Christchurch, loved husband of Marie, loved and respected father and father-in-law of Elizabeth and Karlis Velde, Greg and Julie, Robert and Philippa, Mark and Tul, Joanna and Alan Palmer and John, and dear Poppa of Marla, Matthew, Emma, Vanessa, Louise, Jane, Anna, Michael, Kirsten, Danielle and Helen; aged 73 years.
