LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATE PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at an ordinary meeting to be held on September 25,1989, at the Council Chambers, corner of Oxford Street and Sumner Road, Lyttelton, at 7.30 p.m. the Lyttelton Borough Council intends to make and levy the following rates and charges for the year commencing April 1, 1989, and ending March 31, 1990. 1. A General Rate on a differential basis over the Borough of Lyttelton as follows: a. On residential properties a rate of ten point five cents (10.5 cents) in the dollar on the annual value. b. A Diamond Harbour sanitation fee of twenty-two dollars ($22) per section made under the provisions of the Rating Act 1967 and Section 3 of the Lyttelton Borough Empowering Act 1963, to be levied on that part of the Borough known as Diamond Harbour. 3.1 The second instalment of the above rates and charge is due and payable on Friday, October 13,1989, at the office of the Lyttelton Borough Council. 3.2 A first additional charge of 10 per cent will be added to all rates and charge not paid on or before November 17, 1989. A second additional charge of 10 per cent will be added to the above rates and charge (and arrears from previous years) remaining unpaid after April 1, 1990. A continuing annual charge of 10 per cent will be added to the amount of rates and charge remaining unpaid six months after the addition of the second additional charge. 4. Ordinary and extraordinary water supply charge as follows: Heathcote County — 17.44 cents per cubic m. Users outside Borough boundary within Harbour Basin — 74.25 cents per cubic m. O. Bradley Estate Amendment Bill. The objects of the Bill are as follows: 1. To empower the Board to acquire further land to add to the Park and subject to the proposed limitation to sell land. 2. The power to appoint a member of the Board is to be vested in Automobile Association (Central) Incorporated in place of Canterbury Automobile Association (Incorporated). 3. The balance date for the Board is to be amended from March 31 to June 30, in each year. 4. The Board is to be empowered to make bylaws for specific purposes. 5. Breaches of the Board’s bylaws will constitute an offence and will rend offenders liable to the penalties, as provided.
