Rescue boat presented
Christchurch’s busiest beach for rescues will have a second inflatable rescue boat this summer. The $lO,OOO boat was presented to the Sumner Surf Life Saving Club by
Dominion Breweries. The patron of the Sumner Surf Life Saving Club, Mr Neville Staples, said the new boat would be a great help with res-
cues off Sumner Beach. Sumner Beach had more rescues than any other beach in Christchurch, and the second boat was long overdue, he said.
