Videos advise on family break-ups

Three 20-minute videos with advice on coping with family break-ups will be screened continuously today at the Chancery House court building, 329 Durham Street. The first tape, “Let’s Talk It Over,” gives information on where to seek help if a couple believes their relationship is in trouble. It also provides guidelines on what needs to be done at the time of separation, and explains the work of Family Court counsellors, counselling co-ordinators and lawyers. The other tapes are “You Are Still Mum and Dad,” which explains the needs of children after separation, and “Breakup,” which tells adolescents how to cope with their parents’ separation. The screenings are from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., and 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
