Public Notices IWIADOSf CCMMUNIC*!IONS UMIII I) IMPORTANT NOTICE I FOR TELEVISION VIEWERS i IN THE AREAS SERVED BY J THE LITTLE RIVER , TRANSLATOR , THE MT POSSESSION TRANSLATOR THE Broadcasting Tribunal : has granted" a licence for a ; new television channel, TV3. ; TV3 will begin broadcasting : in main centres, in November. ; The introduction of TV3 in the main centres means that you will need to re-tune your television receiver and possibly change your television aerial, to RETAIN reception , of- TV2 (for Little River ■ viewers) and TVI (for Mt Pos- j session viewers). Please note that you will ■ not be able to obtain direct j reception of the new TV3 service until a translator for the TV3 service is installed for 1 your area. The timing of these J installations will be deter- j mined by TV3. 1 WILL I NEED A NEW ANTENNA? 1 For viewers of the Little River translator: In future TV2 in your area will be transmitted on CH 10, with vertical polarisation. For viewers of the Mt Possession translator: ; In future TVI in your area ■ will be transmitted on CH 4 with vertical polarisation. I Some older types of an- i tenna may not have been designed to receive the new Channel and will need to be , replaced. You will need to make the ( following changes to your i television and aerial: i LITTLE RIVER VIEWERS: — Tune your television set ■ from Channel 6 to Channel 10 to receive the TV2 service. — Possibly change your aerial . to enable a Channel 10 signal to be received. ! MT POSSESSION VIEWERS: : — Tune your television set : from Channel 6to Channel ; 4to receive the TVI service. ; — Possibly change your aerial ‘ to enable a Channel 4 sig- ; nal to be received. i These changes are required 1 to ease the introduction of .
