Ballantyne lies fourth
PA Tauranga The. New Zealand jockey Linda Ballantyne is fourth equal after the first two races of a women's invitation series in Japan. Ballantyne and the Central Districts jockey Kim Clapperton, along with two Australians and six Japanese riders, are competing in the seven-race competition. The Cambridge-based Ballantyne has nine points, while Clapperton is seventh equal on six points. A Japanese rider, Makiko Joshioka, with 15 points, leads the series.
