Eastern Equities Corporation will pay an interim dividend of 2.5 c a share on September 29. It will not carry any imputation credit. Shares will be quoted exdividend on September 14.
S6OM drain
The Reserve Bank yesterday withdrew $6O million from the money market by selling Treasury bills. The bank sold S2OM maturing September 18 at 13.43-13.49 per cent and S4OM maturing September 20 at 13.46-13.48 per cent. Bids totalled $271 million.
N.Z. office
Australian National Line has opened a regional office in New Zealand. ANL’s managing director, Mr John Bicknell, said ANL and Pacific Forum Line, both regionally owned carriers, had formed a partnership to establish a agency to market regional shipping services for both companies in New Zealand. He said ANL had recently invested $l5O million in new ships.
