Prudential return
PA Wellington Prudential Assurance is boasting a gross return of 20.68 per cent for its income unit trust on an annualised basis. The income trust was established in December for conservative investors and investment manager, Mr Greg Whitten, said the return to August 31 was 20.68 per cent gross when considered on a 12 month basis. Investors have been paid dividends of 7.25 cents per unit, currently trading at $l.OB. They have also been sent imputation credits of 2.8195 cents which Mr Whitten said was a gross payment of 15.69 per cent a year. The balance of the return was unrealised gains in the fund, he said. The trust is invested in a range of prime fixed interest securities, mainly Government, local government and State-owned enterprise securities.
