Emergency landing
A Strikemaster from Ohakea Air Base was forced to make an emergency landing at Rotorua Airport on Monday, an Air Force spokesman said. Squadron Leader Andy Anderson said the plane had a suspected engine problem. The pilot had observed fluctuating engine indications and the decision to divert to Rotorua was the only sensible option available to him, Squadron Leader Anderson said. — PA.
