As the sun goes down
By
SARAH PARDER
The sky lights up and the sea turns a brilliant red. As the sun goes down.
Frogs start croaking and the cicadas start their endless clicking. As the sun goes down.
The flowers have their soundless sleep and stand limp in the ground. As the sun goes down.
The sharks silently roam the dark waters seeking for a meal. As the sun goes down.
Two lovers walk hand in hand on a lonely beach, and whisper secrets in each other’s ears. As the sun goes down.
The last bird sings as it darts through a whisper of cloud. As the sun goes down.
AU life comes out of the air and the world goes to sleep. In the light of the moon.
