Generator on display
By
CLARE BARRY
A safer and more cheaply-operated chlorine generator was demonstrated for the first time in Australasia yesterday at the Centennial Pool, Christchurch. It was brought from England for the first
Australasian Pool Managers’ seminar, being held at the Christchurch Town Hall this week. About 150 people are attending the seminar. Speakers include engineers, technicians, an architect, pool managers, coaches and physicians from New Zealand, Australia, Canada and Eng-
land. One of the organisers, Mr John Cousins, said the chlorine generator was a big drawcard. Automatically controlled by a computer, it could mean a big saving to its owner. The generator produced a weaker, and therefore safer, form of chlorine.
