Historic Places Trust
Sir,—lt is unfortunate that the feature (August 26) on the Historic Places Trust’s role in the community did not, in fact, “examine criticism” made by Rodney Hide and Sir Robert Jones. Many of their comments imply that the trust has powers far beyond what it now has, or would ever wish to have, and it is misleading to report such statements without assessing their validity. — Yours, etc., PAMELA WILSON, Regional Officer, N.Z. Historic Places Trust. August 29,1989.
