Education staff win contract
PA Wellington Education New Zealand, Ltd, owned and run by five senior Education Department officers, has won a large payroll contract from the department, the director Mr Ray Boyd, said yesterday. The contract covers the payroll of nearly 8000 teaching staff in the primary and secondary schools in the Wellington area. With the demise of the local education boards in the restructuring of education, Education New Zealand Ltd was formed to supply education services to schools, he said.
