All Whites accept
PA Wellington The New Zealand All Whites soccer team has accepted an invitation to play in Thailand’s King’s Cup tournament next year. The New Zealand Football Association chairman, Warwick Gendall, said in a statement yesterday that the tournament would be held in Bangkok from January 26 to February 11. The All Whites have been drawn in Group A with Indonesia, Singapore and China while Group B comprising the Soviet Union, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand looks to be the tougher of the two. Mr Gendall said the King’s Cup invitation was the culmination of several months planning and negotiations. A squad of .18 will be picked.
