McKendry still on top
Maurice McKendry still holds a slender lead in the World Driving Championship after the third round of heats, at Quebec City Raceway. McKendry has 98.5 points, giving him a lead of 3.5 on Ron Pierce (United States). Ted Demmler (Australia) is in third place on 84. The star of the third round was the Spanish reinsman, Bartolome Fuster, who scored two wins and a second to move into fifth place. — NZPA.
