Anzon payments
PA Auckland The fundraising effort by Anzon Investments to settle its scheme of arrangement could bear fruit with payments to creditors beginning today, according to the company’s chairman, Mr David Rouse.
A plan to arrange funding through an Australian company, Structural Nominees, had been scrapped in favour of a much better offer that he was on
the verge of concluding, he said. Scheme manager, Mr Gerry Rea, said he was waiting for an agreement to be presented to him and had become frustrated by the delay. “If funds from whatever source are not forthcoming soon, I’ll have to consider my options,” he said yesterday. Mr Rea resigned in mid-July after six months as scheme manager and was later reinstated.
