Ruatoria arrests
The police arrested eight people in Ruatoria early yesterday morning. The District Commander, Superintendent Rana Waitai, said the arrests related to matters which had been concerning the police during the last week. He said a team of Gisborne uniform police and detectives were sent to the coast to take part in the arrests. “Search warrants were executed on a number of addresses and as a result eight people were arrested.” —PA.
