Ashton confident
The directors of Ashton Mining say they are confident the 1989 full-year profit will easily exceed last year’s net earnings of sAust2s.9o million (SNZ33.4IM) after it almost doubled interim net profit to sAustl3.s7M (SNZI7.SM) from sAust6.9M (SNZB.9M). “The improved performance is continuing at the start of the second half and in the absence of unforeseen circumstances, the directors are confident that the full-year result will be well ahead of last year," the directors said.
