Photography chair
A German photographic expert, Jenner Zimmermann, will take up the new Agfa Chair of Photography at the Whitecliffe Art School, in Auckland. The international photographic company, Agfa-Gevaert has already provided the school with photographic equipment, supplies and scholarships. Zimmermann has been featured in prominent German magazines such as "Stem,” “Zeit-Magazin” anc “Geo.” He has published three books of photographs on India and last year toured New Zealand as a cultural ambassador under the sponsorship of the German government. He says what he found in New Zealand art and photography encouraged him to return. rThe Whitecliffe Art School is the first private tertiary art school in New Zealand. Tins’year it has 25 fulltime students.
