Presley display
Elvis Presley fans set up a display at Northlands mall yesterday to mark his death 12 years ago.
The Elvis mementoes came from the private collection of Mrs Dearnna Edwards, one of the six members of the Christchurch ,Elvis Presley Memorial Society. “The display is to help fans remember Elvis and to raise donations to keep
the weekly Elvis radio show going on Plains FM every Tuesday night,” said Mrs Edwards.
The display will run until tomorrow.
The secretary of the Elvis Fan Club, Mr Garth Lawrence, was also sharing in the day’s memories.
The club, based in Oamaru, has 673 members throughout New Zealand.
