Mrs Jane Mentink, who passed the New Zealand Gold Ice Dance Test last week-end, with her daughter, Kylie, aged six, at The Big Apple Ice Rink yesterday. Mrs Mentink will now retire from ice dancing after becoming one of only five New Zealanders to pass the test. She has been ice dancing since 1979, and before that was involved with freeskating in Wellington for six years.
