Mrs Mavis Anderton, aged 79, a librarian for 14 years at the former volunteer Papanui Library, and the present branch librarian, Ms Louise Virtue. The library has four full-time staff. It has been moved from its former site in Horner Street to Langdons Road, opposite the Northlands Mall. The premises were opened yesterday by the Mayor of Christchurch, Sir Hamish Hay.
