Awapuni Awapuni correspondent The ultra consistent galloper, Dizzley, should give trainer, Noel Eales, his . first winner for the new season when she runs in the “Punter of the Year” Novice at the Dannevirke Hunt meeting, at Hastings tomorrow. Dizzley worked in great style at Awapuni yesterday morning, suggesting she is ready to cap off a run of minor platings by winning the 1600 metre race. !
Dizzley worked with Windward Beat They galloped on the plough where all the fast work took place. They ran the 1000 m in Imin 3s, the last 600 m in 38.65. Although Dizzley has not raced since running second at Hawera on June 21, she has not missed a beat in training .since then. Peter Ayres will ride her tomorrow. Windward Beat races tomorrow. They took 535, the last 600 m in 39.65. Lucca has thrived since winning so easily here a few weeks ago. He looks to hold a mortgage on the Heretaunga Graduation. Waterloo Road is in the Redshaw Imnrovers but
would need to improve on latest efforts. Brookside and Rush In Front took 1:4 for 1000 m, the last 600 m, in 38s, and finished together. Rush In Front has thrived since getting bogged down at Trentham. She has a good record at Hastings and should shine in the Seattle Lodge 1600. Brookside shows promise but is up against some form runners in the “Punter of the Year” Novice. El Kara, which could be prominent in the White Enterprise for amateur ridera. covered 800 m in 535, the iafet 600 m in 395.
