French buy Allflex shares

Confirmation of the sale of the 65 per cent Goodman Fielder Wattle stake in Allflex Holdings to- French interests had been welcomed by the Allflex board, the chairman of Allflex, Mr Bill McPhail, said. “After a series of changes in control during the last few years, the board is confident Allflex and its staff can now look forward to a period of stability and growth through the input of a controlling shareholder actively engaged in the same field of business,” he said. The board acknowledged the support of Goodman Fielder Wattle as a major shareholder over the last 18 months. The French interests acquiring the Goodman shares are the Societe Francaise D’lnnovation Pour i’Elevage whose major shareholders are the Societe Francaise d’lnnovation Industrielle along with a strong participation of French investment bankers, Mr McPhail said.
