Service
Woodhaven Builders Ltd have the Lockwood franchise covering both Canterbury and Westland. Basing its whole business ethic around smart, efficient, worry-free service, it has three golden goals to which it always strives. — It guarantees its work. — It attempts to have sketch plans to the client in only 21 days. — It takes 30 days to quote on a job. Alan Robertson, the principal of Woodhaven Builders, said it is the responsibility of his company that everything goes according to plan. "There is nothing worse when building a new home to be continually hit with add-on expenses. "From the very inception we like to sit down with the client and the architectural design consultant and go over everything step by step. “It is our philosophy to
go that little bit further with our clients which may include organising all the subtrades down as far as pricing and selecting carpets and drapes and overseeing the landscaping. “As far as possible we want the client to know the full extent of their expenses right from the start,” he said. The very fast supply of a sketch plan is one area in which Lockwood and Woodhaven Builders pride themselves. “We’ve heard of some architects taking several months whereas we set ourselves a guideline of 21 days. On top of that we only charge 0.75 per cent of the estimated price to do the sketch and another 0.75 per cent for the final plan. “Not only is this a very fair and reasonable price, but it is a once-only price conditional on both parties being happy with the sketch,” he said.
