Caravan to offer free dental checks
. Christchurch people wanting to know the condition of their teeth will have an opportunity to have them examined free from Monday during Dental Health Awareness week.
A caravan staffed by school dental nurses and equipped with a dental chair, mirror and light will travel the city’s shopping malls offering free dental examinations. The week is part of a national campaign organised by the Dental Health Foundation.' A member of the Canterbury branch of the Dental Association, Mr
lan Esson, said the aim of the week was to make The free dental examination would be a visual examination and would not include cleaning, X-ray or radiographic treatment, he said.
The dental caravan will be open from 9 a m. to 5 p.m. during the week. On Monday it will be outside the Shirley Maximart; Tuesday, Sydenham Shopping Mall; Wednesday, Linwood Mall; Thursday, Northlands Shopping Mall; Friday, Cathedral Square from 9 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.; Saturday Riccarton Mall from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
